Open Letter to Mr. Ed Gillespie, RNC Chairman - prior to 2004 pres. election:

Dear Mr. Gillespie,

I am in receipt of your recent solicitation requesting that I accept renewal of my Republican National Committee Membership Card. When I changed my registration from Independent to Republican in order to be able to participate in the republican primary elections, I did this because I believed that the Republican Party still stood for protection of our constitutional rights and the traditional, Americanist policies that I, a conservative hold dear.
And I also voted for George W. Bush, on the assumption that he too shared those values, based upon his statements and demeanor during the 2000 election.

How wrong I was, on both counts! Since his election, it has become painfully clear how naïve and misled we all were about this man. In spite of his strong military response to the 9/11 attack on our soil, which I give him high marks for, he has TOTALLY FAILED in his domestic policies in either adhering to, or promoting, the conservative values of those who were responsible for electing him. He has sold out his conservative, Christian base and has pandered to, and sucked up to the liberal left, and their socialist agenda, at every opportunity, to wit:

1.  His promotion of the outrageous HR 1885, the illegal alien amnesty bill, which was passed by a sneaky night-time session, on a floor vote! And his disgraceful capitulation to that leftist Mexican dictator, Vincente Fox. This is a clear violation of our immigration laws, and a slap in the face to the American people, and to the untold thousands who have immigrated lawfully, sometimes at great cost and personal hardship, because they loved America and wanted to share in the dream of freedom and prosperity in this great land. Those immigrants did not come here for the free benefits and voting rights, as these Mexican lawbreakers are given. That a sitting American president, who portrayed himself as a conservative, Christian, family values, law and order candidate, could even think of such a betrayal of our laws, and sellout of his constituents (much less actively promote it) is an OUTRAGE! And the Republican ‘leadership’ went along with him lock, stock and barrel!

2.  His failure to defend his economic recovery program. Instead, true to form he caved in to his liberal friends, as usual. And the Republican ‘leadership’ went along with him lock, stock and barrel!

3,  His nauseating courting of the Democrats, praising the likes of Tom Daschle and the rest of the Democratic Party liberals. And the Republican ‘leadership’ went along with him lock, stock and barrel!

4.  His failure to use the ‘bully pulpit’ to speak to the American people about the strong-arm tactics his good ‘friend’ Tom Daschle was using in locking up his judicial nominees in committee, preventing a floor vote. He totally abdicated his responsibility and obligation to defend his nominees, even when his popularity was at all-time highs. And the Republican ‘leadership’ did NOTHING, and went along with him lock, stock and barrel!

5. His tepid ‘support’ for Israel, in her fight against the same Islamic terrorist movement that has declared war on America, and Christianity, and Judaism. Where are his calls for Yasar Arrafat to call off his terrorist murderers and homicide bombers? No, all we hear are calls for Israel to ‘withdraw’. And he entertains the same Saudi ‘prince’ who is paying blood money to the families of homicide bombers, and supplying funds to Bin Laden’s terrorist operation. And he continues to support his leftist Secretary of State, who cannot bring himself to condemn that Palestinian Mussolini! And the Republican ‘leadership’ goes along with him lock, stock and barrel!

6. He has been disturbingly silent on the abortion issue – which he promised to address once elected. But I guess he can’t risk offending his new found liberal ‘friends’, can he.

7. Where is he and the RNC on the corrosive, perverted gay-marriage issue – silent as usual!

8. Where is he and the RNC on the Ten Commandments issue – silent as usual!

He is a phony conservative, and there is not a shred of real conservatism in the Republican Party leadership. And so it goes on, in sickening fashion, as we spiral down into the Liberal, Communist/Socialist toilet! . He and you all have sold out the very people who elected you! This is nothing but a game of Two-Card Monty- a shell game! Look under this shell – is it a Democrat? No, it’s a Demican. And under the other shell – a Rebublicrat. What difference does it make that we elected George Bush, when we are still getting Bill Clinton and Al Gore’s domestic program (and probably worse – they could not get away with what GW is doing!). Who do you all think you are kidding with your appeals to us to “help us to defeat Democrats, help us to maintain control of Congress”. For what purpose? So that you elitists can all get re-elected and sell us out again?

Well, I refuse to participate in your rigged game. Please remove me from your rolls, and count me OUT of the Republicrat Party. Do not send me any more of your BS about protecting our American values against the leftist Democrats – what a crock! I have re-registered in the Constitution Party. I will be voting for Mr. Bush in 2004 with a clothespin on my nose, only because you people have left the American people no choice. Bush is not my choice, he is only the lessor of two EVILS. Who do we have to speak up for and defend traditional American values and sovereignty any longer? Certainly NOT Bush, nor the sold-out republicrat party! Excuse me while I reach for a barf-bag!
